Latkes and Lights Community Latke Competition Registration

Have you always thought your latkes are better than all the rest? We invite you to showcase them at Latkes and Lights by registering for the Community Latke Competition. The community and a panel of judges will enjoy your latkes and vote on their favorites. Winners will receive a Golden Latke Trophy!

Date: Sunday, December 7, 2025

Times:

Set up - 8:30 - 9:45 am

Event - 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Clean up - 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Requirements:

1. Complete this registration form.

2. Attend Latkes and Lights in its entirety on December 7 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, including set-up and tear-down. Ensure at least one chef is at your table at all times throughout the program.

3. Make 400+ bite-sized latkes for the community and judges to sample.

*We anticipate over 600 attendees this year!

This form is for entry in the community competition as a non-restaurant or food industry professional. If you make a living (or a side hustle) working as a chef, caterer, or restaurant, please contact Daniel Siegel to be entered into the restaurant competition. Cooking disclosure: I agree to prepare the latkes in a sanitary manner, including sanitized countertops and utensils. I will wear gloves during the preparation and cooking process. I will ensure all latkes are fully cooked before serving. Latkes will meet proper food safety standards. For more information, visit ServSafe.com.I agree to prepare the latkes Kosher Style* and Vegetarian. Kosher Style: no meat or milk will be mixed, no shellfish, no pork products, or other non-kosher animal products will be served.I agree to make a minimum of at least 400 bite-sized latkes for the competition. *There will be closer to 600+ people in attendance, so you are welcome to make more latkes if you choose to. I agree that the only animal product in the latkes will be eggs.I will provide all latkes in a standard disposable chafing dish (21 x 13in) with a proper-fitting foil lid OR tight-fitting aluminum foil.

In order to ensure all participants remain safe at this event, you are required to disclose which "Big 9" allergens are included in your latke recipe or toppings.
