When? Sunday, June 29 from 8:00 - 11:30 am
Where? Cheeseman Park to Civic Center Park
Calling all members of our Community in Denver and allies!
We are excited to invite you to march with us in Denver's Pride Parade, an opportunity to stand together, celebrate diversity, and show our support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Let's spread love, acceptance, and equality side by side. Together, we will proudly showcase our Jewish community while embracing and honoring the LGBTQIA+ community's strength and resilience. Let's demonstrate the values of inclusivity and solidarity that lie at the core of our community.
Please be aware that there are limited spots for our space in Pride Parade and only register if you intend on marching. If you decided you can no longer march, please contact Daniel Siegel, JCC Denver Engagement Program Manager. Spots will be given on a first come first serve basis.
The parade route is about 1.5 miles long, from Cheesman Park to Civic Center Park along 17th Street. All marchers should be prepared to be on their feet (or rolling for accessibility) for at minimum 2 hours and be able to withstand whatever weather is present at the time! Parade step-off is at 9:00 am, but we ask that all marchers be in position by 8:30 am.
Parking in the area is difficult and there will be thousands of people in Cheesman Park staging for the parade. Plan to be there early! Coffee and donuts will be provided.
Each marcher will be provided with an “Ahava” t-shirt (heart design above) that you can pick up ahead of time at the JCC Denver (details sent out closer to the parade). We ask that all marchers with the Jewish Community wear this to show a unified presence. Additionally, parade signs with a variety of fun sayings inspired by Keshet’s pride signs will be available, as well as signs submitted by our community.
